A year after the book Blogging from Home was launched, I decided to post a copy of its content online. This includes 2 podcast and 9 demonstration videos to complement it.
I think a book sales cycle is 1 year maximum. Afterwards, especially for non-fiction, the book is no longer a hot item unless it becomes a requirement for schools. However, as technology evolves so fast, a lot of things can also change in a short span of time.
Information wants to be free
In my opinion, a learning material loses its value if it is only shared to a few. This is also the reason I’m happy to discover Scribd as a method in sharing published works online without necessarily giving it away.
Posting the book online was already in my calendar since last month. After reading Chris Anderson’s book FREE, got the final push to do so.
This is also an experiment and will be observing if posting the book, videos, and podcast online can trigger opportunities. Will see.
